Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. Her name has been acknowledged for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her an Oscar. The successful actress began her career in acting by performing on stage, through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. From her early years she's been passionate about performing. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. The fifth grade was the year that following a bout of mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. In her teens she studied drama, and eventually moved into New York City. In a chance encounter she became trapped in an elevator along with the playwright Beth Henley and the two worked together on the Broadway Crimes of the Heart' which was Hunter's first performance. When she moved from Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Her professional career spans over thirty years and she's appeared in a variety of TV films, films and series. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
