Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who was known in the late 90s for being the girlfriend of Hugh Grant, is the former English model. As Hugh Grant's movie Four Weddings and a Funeral was the focus of worldwide public attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. It instantly brought her media recognition. The highlight of Hurley's professional life has been her association with the cosmetics company Estee Lauder. Hurley began her modeling contract with the company at the age of 29. Since then, the company has utilized Hurley as a model for their products particularly for perfumes like Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in The Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me, both of which became hugely popular. Hurley is currently a model and designer for an eponymous beachwear line. The song I Kissed a Girl a straightforward ode that expresses sexual desire accompanied by a hardedged electro pop beat brought her more attention just a few months after. Some critics accused the song of encouraging homosexual relations, while others claimed that its racy depiction was intended to attract male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl, the combination of excitement with a sophisticated melody, helped I Kissed a Girl to become a hit number one across the world and boost sales for her album One of the Boys. With its bouncy sharp-tongued song, the second Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of that Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over three million copies within the United States.
